Privacy and your photos
Short version: we use your details and photos only to make and deliver your book, we never use them to train AI, and we delete your photos 30 days after delivery.

Crewtales is a trading name of INK LABS STUDIOS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, the data controller for this website. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Book details (names, roles, descriptions, dedication, optional photos): to create your book. Legal basis: contract.
- Email and delivery address: to send your preview, proof, order updates and the book. Legal basis: contract.
- Marketing emails: only if you tick the box. You can unsubscribe at any time. Legal basis: consent.
- Consents: when you upload photos you confirm you’re 18+ and the parent or guardian, or have permission. We keep a record of that confirmation.
Your photos
- Stored in a private storage area that is not publicly accessible.
- Used only to create your book’s illustrations, by our AI image provider under a data processing agreement, and never to train AI models.
- Deleted automatically 30 days after your book is delivered. Draft projects that are never ordered are deleted after 60 days.
- You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Who we share data with
Only the companies that help us make and deliver your book: our hosting and database providers, our AI image provider, our printer and its couriers, our payment provider and our email provider. Some are based outside the UK; where that happens we use the safeguards required by UK GDPR.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or download your data, or object to its use, by emailing us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

We use only the cookies needed for the site to work. If we add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask first.
