Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a book from Crewtales, a trading name of INK LABS STUDIOS LTD (England and Wales).

Your order

You create your book online, approve your characters, pay, and then receive a proof of every page. Your order is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email.

Your proof and approval

Please check names, spelling and pictures carefully. You can ask for changes to any page. If you don’t reply within 12 hours of receiving your proof, we approve it automatically so that your delivery date isn’t missed. You can ask us for more time before that.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown before you add any photo, include standard delivery, and are charged once. There is no subscription. US sales tax may be added where required.

Personalised goods and cancellations

Your book is made to your specification, so you can’t cancel it for a change of mind once you have approved the proof and it has gone to print (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 28(1)(b)). Before that point, you can cancel for a full refund.

Faults and delivery

If your book is damaged, misprinted or contains a mistake we made, we reprint it free. Our Christmas delivery promise is described on the guarantee page. Your statutory rights are not affected.

AI illustrations

Illustrations are created with AI from the details and photos you provide and checked before you see them. They are artistic interpretations, so likeness may vary; if you’re not happy with a character, tell us before you approve.

Your content

You confirm that you have the right to use the names and photos you provide, including permission from the parents or guardians of any child pictured.
